Availability of water as I made mention is another problem that cannot be left out. Water as we say, is one of the basic necessities of life. In this twenty first century, many in the rural villages and cottages in the developing countries like Ghana still struggle with domestic animals over accessibility to drinking water.

One need to witness the kind of algae infested water in which animal also drink, bath, defecate in being used by rural dwellers as a source of drinking water. This situation makes it very common to see people with skin rashes, bilharzia and other water borne related diseases. The major sources of water that these inhabitants live on are streams, stagnant water, shallow wells and ponds. Water becomes very scarce during the dry season which forces both young and adults to walk long distances in search of water.

These sometimes prevent many children from going to school. This does not spare the available health centers in these rural areas, they also do not have good drinking water available in their facilities in which patients can get some to use. Women who visit these health centers for delivery always are forced with no option than to send their clothes home to wash.  VACDA provide
