VACDA-GHANA on it mission to provide strong and quality education in the rural Ghana donated School supplies such as: exercise books, test books, pencils, pens, markers, Formica board, teachers table and chairs and dual desks for four communities’ schools. The project started on 24th October 2014 and completed 10th December 2014. The schools that benefited include : Kwaanan D/A basic school, Asarekwaa basic school, Asempanayei D/A basic school and  Royal School Complex in ground total Thousand one hundred and twenty- three (1,123) school pupils and forty-one (41) teachers were reached.

Asarekwaa is a village located about three miles away from Breman Kuntanase village. Children of Asarekwaa village have walked for so many years to attend school at the nearby village Kuntanase. Children are often whipped by rain which destroys their books. Many children of this village do not attend school because they are not strong to walk the miles to school. VACDA-GHANA in meetings with the village community on the need to establish school at the village so that every child of school going age can be enrolled was good news to the people of the village. The school started under palm frond shed for about five years with 20 children now the enrollment has increase to 63 pupils. In 2014 VACDA-GHANA has built   four unit classroom block (dwarf type) to remedy the problem.

And same building was built for Nsuakyir.

Salvation Army basic school is located at Breman Kuntanase village in the Asikuma –Odoben –Brakwa district in the central region of Ghana. People in Kuntanase are predominantly peasant farmers with few petty traders. The pupil have no clean water to drink, it makes it compulsory for the school children to share stagnant water which is closer to the school with sheep and cows. Even before they can get some of dirty water to drink they have to cross a lorry road before. This water resort in skin rashes and other illness and it distract teaching and learning. VACDA-GHANA in 2014 provided hand dug well with poly tank and water pumping machine to the school to ensure that there is always water for the children to drink.

Provision of clean drinking water to Kuntanase Salvation Army School has contributed immensely to reduce the acute water problems during the dry season, water related diseases and the unhygienic water pupil drink due to lack of water.

Now children stay in class, drink much water they can without any restrictions and as when they become thirsty.
